Hi! I'm Emerson!

I'm a law student who works in criminal defense. Academically, I'm interested in carceral sensory politics and alternatives to incarceration. Industry-wise, I'm interested in post-conviction appeals and mitigation, and have extensive experience working on federal-level cases and with clients facing long sentences. I have a BA from Northeastern University in philosophy and an MPhil from Trinity College Dublin in sociolinguistic carceral international history. In past lives, I worked in wildlife education and electoral politics, and have been recognized nationally for my political digital strategy work.

When I'm not in school or working, you can probably find me at a concert, reading something from reading roulette (or working on a review), or hanging out with my two cats.
